Ok Paul is there to give a lilt to the headline but, he did play well in the England team. Graham Henry has got the sack after losing the battle of minds in Cardiff last night, and 'Sacre Bleu!' - the Rugby World Cup has come alive!
Today's results were a bit more realistic however, both losers were in with more than a shout with ten minutes left on the clock. South Africa proving too strong - in a formal, old school trundle style of rugby against the fizzing Fijians. Rabeni beat someone every time he touched the ball...unfortunately he beat someone when he made a tackle too and received 10 minutes in the bin. Alan Lewis' refereeing, the delays, and his interpretation of advantage will not see him referee the final. (Please no...) Video judgement is fair enough but the delays are wasteful in my opinion - and he is an arch time waster.
Unlucky Scotland, who did nearly enough to snatch a game that was a grinding affair for the most part. They just didn't have the collective firepower, despite some individual moments, to edge a win.
For me, Argentina were looking tired. (I wish I could be as tired on a rugby pitch as, say Ledesma or Roncero...non-stop big units.) Satisfyingly, South Africa and Argentina will be knocking lumps out of each other next week - whoever gets to the final will be well tested. As for the other match well - it's only a game, we're all friends, and it doesn't really matter anyway does it?!
Cheers cock!
martin im still crying the game was for scotland to take why were they so scared of an argentian side that were only capable of kicking and an upstart of a number 9 who when i watched being interviewed earlier thought Hernandez was the best player in the world and thank god they didnt ask him about himself! nice hair though! anyway im a little calmer now and come on South Africa next weekend you have nothing to fear and my prediction is still for France on home soil!

Never mind gutter, at least you'll always be on edge...oh sorry 'gutted' (silly me!).
Anyway, I think Augustin Pichot is a pretty good player - thinking way aheads of what he's actually doing (Which is not exactly hard I agree - for example, I'm thinking of sitting down, having a beer and watching the 'BigMatch'...and that's not 'til next Saturday!) But you know what I mean. South Africa were my original prediction to win the 2007 competition but since the start of this tournament their game has been funnelled into a very limited exposition of a quite skilful team.Keep Rossouw out of the way - which the Pumas are bound to do, and they have a chance to make the final. Against England.
Or France :¬)

Against England - HA!
If Wilko kicks anything like his last game...who else do England have?!

Hello Emilie - I think the astute observer will not be looking for individuality this time around, but a collective performance - without the choke factor. An organised team will beat individual flair any day...the England mood seems good.
The French are rebuilding their confidence and it looks like a good game will ensue.

As long as the english wheelchairs have a few extra gears!
(nothing wrong with a bit of friendly banter!)

I think it is all going to come down to who has the most functional haircuts for the occasion.
Now, England have not much hairs between them - very military... unlike the miffed gay coiffeur on acid who had a bash at Michalak's bonce!

I'm not sure if it's military style so much as...it's fallen out!
(I hear age does that!)

A wealth of experience, unsurpassed knowledge and a richness of thought does that!
Look at me though...there's always an exception that proves the rule.
Adopt a caveman week is coming up...

and we all know which caveman we would like!

The only caveman I fancy is the one who looks after the 'cave' at Baron Rosthchild's gaff in Waddesdon Manor... that'll do me!
