If the excitement of yesterday was not enough for you (far too much for me) there is another pulse raising pair of matches today.
I'll try again with my (50% accurate) predictometer.
Form: Argentina, South Africa. Romance: Scotland Fiji. Actual: Scotland, South Africa or maybe Argentina, Fiji - oh bother...
Yesterday's events illustrate that anything cna apphen (There you are - it happened again!). Scotland seem a bit more powerful in their physical game than their results have shown. Like France, a good defence and 'Punishment by Paterson' may be enough. Argentina have remained consistent throughout, no self-destruct buttons have been seen yet but maybe it is now a question of conditioning that will prove the difference; their forwards have been working long and hard in their group matches...could be the time to make a hash of it?
South Africa? My original tip for World Cup winners. Unfortunately, they seemed exposed when the big guns are out of the game - Tonga peeling back the thin layer of competence on that occasion. Oh! and by the way ref. watch out for 'Big Vic' Matfield standing up in the mauls with his back to the opposition, making no effort to move out of the way, pretending to bind on, grabbing shirts and allsorts...grumble grumble...
And Fiji complete the Party Four. They always entertain, they are always liked and will be supported for their efforts whatever they may do (like smash the Boks for instance we hope...)
Once again, may the best team win - it's only a game after all...
Out of interest:
Who still thinks that South Africa will win the title?
(after having seen the fiji game)

i was rooting for fiji all the way really exciting team and I thought South Africa let themselves down at the end lost their composure somewhat. No need for all the fisty cuffs!! Hey Martin there goes your romantic prediction lets hope it returns later on. My betting would not be on South Africa to win,I would hope the Scots will get past Argentina but my money would be on France right now due to a home advantage with the crowd behind them and they looked a very exciting team. But now it is really difficult to predict. But at this stage I will go with Martin's romantic prediction for tonght

i liked your prediction of the romantic martin and for 10 minutes i thought it possible but at the end of the day you have to turn up on the pitch to win. The game was actually over before it began i couldnt believe it. I say go South Africa next wekend you have nothing to fear apart from no 9 and 10 having an overblown ego!! bad luck scotland but you were not the bravehearts i expected to watch! the game was there why didnt you take it! now ive stopped crying i will g0 to bed!
